Stu is LifePod’s Co-Founder and CEO. He has been a forward-thinking pioneer in the voice-first field for over 20 years, and he drives LifePod’s vision, strategy and execution. At the core of Stu’s work is a profound commitment to bettering the lives of others by harnessing the power of voice and online technologies.

Prior to LifePod: In a career spanning over 30 years, Stu successfully led several successful voice-based companies, including:

  • COO, Sidekicks
  • CEO, Xtone
  • CEO, SpeechWorks (now Nuance)

“I’m building LifePod because I’ve always believed that online services and voice UIs would get to the point that my mother and father could have used and enjoyed them into their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s!”

Like many others, Stu’s caregiving journey was two-fold: to provide support, however and whenever he could, for his parents and his children, and to fill their days with joy. In hindsight, he recognizes that his support was next-to-nothing compared to the support and care of his older sister for his parents and of his wife for his children. These essential, life experiences sparked his longtime desire to build an affordable, easy-to-use online service that allows family and professional caregivers to support and bring happiness to a variety of care recipients … that is – Stu has always wanted to build LifePod!
