Welcome to LifePod (“we” or “us” or “the Company”) We are excited to have you visit our website (“Site”).  LifePod is deeply committed to protecting the privacy of the information that you share with us.  This document represents our Privacy Policy, which explains specifically how we will handle and protect information that you share with us.  In this policy, we describe the types of information that we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the LifePod Services and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.  Any capitalized terms that are not expressly defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings that are given to them in our Terms of Service.

This policy applies to information that we collect or receive from you:

  • In email, text, chat, and other electronic messages between you and this Site.
  • When calling our support phone line for interaction with a support agent.
  • Through our Caregiver Portal, including the Dialog Management System, and through any mobile, tablet and desktop applications that you download from this Site.

We May Automatically Collect Non-Personal Information

In general, you can visit this Site without giving any Personal Information about yourself.  If you do not subscribe or use the LifePod Services and simply browse the Site, we collect only non-personal information, such as information about your computer or mobile device, unique device identifiers, browsing history, cookies, and geolocation information.  We also use various methods and technologies to collect information so that we can learn about how you use our Site, including cookies and web beacons, as further described in this Privacy Policy, and web logging, which allows us to collect the standard information that your web browser sends to every web site you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, and the site you came from, as well as the pages you visit and the links you click while using the Site.

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You may send us an email at privacy@lifepod.com to request access to, correct or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

CCPA AND CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you are a California resident, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) places new obligations on organizations that collect personal information of California consumers. As a result, we’ve updated our Privacy Policy to include a description of additional rights granted by CCPA and provide California consumers with required disclosures about the collection of personal information. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment will be encrypted using SSL and PCI standards and technology.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. For instance, you are responsible for keeping your Credentials confidential. We ask you not to share your Credentials with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Site or Services. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any circumvention by any third parties of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page with a date and notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Website home page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the Site home page. The date that the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
