LifePod Setup for iOS

To set up your iHome Powered by LifePod smart speaker using an iOS device:

Before setting up your smart speaker, create your LifePod account in the Caregiver Portal using your LifePod invitation email.

  • Connect the power adapter to the bottom of the smart speaker
  • Plug into an appropriate outlet. You will hear the smart speaker say, “Wi-Fi mode“ followed by “Welcome! Please download the iHome Powered by LifePod app…”

  • Connect your iOS mobile device to the Wi-Fi network that you will be using to connect the smart speaker (only 2.4GHz networks are supported)
  • Open the App Store on your iOS mobile device and search “iHome Powered by LifePod” OR open this link in a web browser on your iOS device: lifepod.com/ios
  • Click the “Get” button or the download symbol (cloud with downward arrow)
  • Once downloaded, click “Open

iOS app

  • Open the LifePod app and click “Let’s Get Started
  • Press and hold the “talk” button on the smart speaker until you hear “Entering setup mode…”
  • Click “Next
  • Go to your phone’s Wi-FI settings and select the network starting with iHome iLP14 XXXX . The speaker will say, “Great! Please reopen the app…”
  • Return to the LifePod app and click “Next
  • Select the appropriate Wi-Fi network, enter the Password and click “Continue
  • iOS appSelect “Allow While Using App” to access the Wi-Fi (LifePod does not collect your actual location). When complete, the speaker will say, “Wi-Fi connection successful”
  • Set your care recipient’s time zone and click “Save
  • Click “Assign Care Recipient
  • Enter your LifePod email address and password. Click “Log in
  • Select or confirm your care recipient and click “Next
  • After successfully connecting your speaker, click “Close
