How do I use the buttons on the iHome Powered by LifePod smart speaker?

Stop: 

Discontinues any streaming content, including music, news and weather 

  1. Quickly press and release the stop button 

 

Mute: 

Mutes the internal microphone  

When muted, LifePod routines will still play; however, responses will not be heard nor reported to Care Team members. Reactive “Hello LifePod” requests will not be heard when the smart speaker is muted  

  1. Quickly press and release the mute button  
    • When muted, a red line will illuminate below the clock and the speaker will say, “Microphone is muted”  
    • When unmuted, the red line will no longer appear and the speaker will say, “Microphone is unmuted” 

 

Talk: 

Works in place of saying “Hello LifePod” and activates the microphone for reactive requests, such as playing or stopping music, news and weather as well as adjusting the volume 

  1. Quickly press and release the talk button  
  2. A blue light will illuminate below the clock and a small beep will sound, signifying that LifePod is ready for a reactive command 

 

Dimmer: 

Controls the brightness of the clock 

  1. Quickly press and release the dimmer button to dim one level from HI > 3 > 2 > 1 > OFF 
  2. When the clock light is OFF, quickly press and release the dimmer button to return to HI 

 

Bluetooth: 

Pairs the iHome Powered by LifePod smart speaker with other Bluetooth devices 

  1. Quickly press and release the blue tooth button to enter Bluetooth mode 
  2. Prepare your second device for a Bluetooth pairing
  3. Hold the Bluetooth button on the smart speaker for 3 seconds to pair the two devices 

 

Volume: 

Controls the volume of the iHome Powered by LifePod speaker for both streaming content and proactive LifePod routines, ranging from 0 to 40 

  1. Quickly press and release the — or + button to lower/raise the volume by one level 
  2. Press and hold the — or + button to quickly lower/raise the volume multiple levels
